I have an account with National Bank of Abu Dhabi and I usually check my balance through their online banking. Yesterday evening I received a local transfer from a client here in the UAE. The sender has already shared the debit confirmation from his side, and the amount has been deducted from his account.

The problem is that when I log in and do a balance inquiry, the available balance still does not show the credited amount. There is no pending transaction visible either. Normally transfers within the UAE reflect either instantly or at least as pending within a few hours. It has now been more than 18 hours.

I called the customer care line but could not get a clear answer. They said it might be under processing, but they could not confirm if there is any hold or compliance check on the transfer. I am a bit concerned because I need to make a payment from my side and I am not sure whether to wait or assume there is some issue with the transfer reference.

Has anyone experienced a delay like this with NBAD balance inquiries not reflecting incoming funds even though the sender’s account is already debited? I would really appreciate hearing how long it took in your case or what steps you took to resolve it.
